Hi, I have read about prelinking.
Is it that good?
Can it give me some big speed improvments? and what is the cost in disk space?
also, if I emerge prelink
will portage use it from now on every emerge?
I have read the doc about this, but didn't find much info, hope some one can give me some more info. |

Yes, especially applications written in C++.

Before starting prelink, you should have min. 100MB of free space in disk.

You will have to prelink after every updating but you can use quick mode of prelink, see man prelink. |
