|
|
Hi,
I'm a member of some msn groups and a regular visitor of the chat on some. I have a windows machine at home but since I've got the hang on running games under linux I'm thinking about ditching the windows machine..
The problem now is chat I can't find out how to make msn chat functions work in mozilla or any other browser, nexto internet explorer with wine.. But since you need an official key from microsoft to use this kind of software I rather not want to..
Are there any people who have experience with chatting on msn groups using mozilla (or another browser) under linux?? _________________ Calling atheism a religion, is like calling bald a haircolour. |

I tried installing mozilla under firefox and then download the plugin that exists for it but as soon as I enter a chatroom it freezes. _________________ Calling atheism a religion, is like calling bald a haircolour. |

I've tried this thread https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-148168-highlight-wine+internet+explorer.html
first, when emulating a normal ie6 setup with wine, I end up with an installed version of internet explorer which gives me a blank screen when I start is..
I've tried the IEs4Linux utility, it installs internet explorer perfectly! And I even have a good non-scrambled screen when using the microsoft chat api..
but it doesn't connect to the required chat server, it just halts when connecting..
So I've come a bit further, but not yet there. I hope the efford will bring some succes soon..
Aren't there any gentoo users that are a member of an msn group and chat there? =P _________________ Calling atheism a religion, is like calling bald a haircolour. |
