I am doing offline install as suggested. I am copying the files needed in win98 partition and then copying it in distfiles on linux partition.
Here are few queries:
1> can i skip emerge sys-kernel/gentoo-sources while installation. I already find /usr/src/linux. Does gentoo-sources mean kernel-sources only?
2> emerge -p sys-apps/dcron shows that i need two pkgs, ssmtp and mailbase. I found ssmtp tarball , but unable to find mailbase tarball. Where should i look for it?
3>i have PPTP connection. Somehow pptpd is available but, pptp-client is missing. Any hints how to install it? I have done with routing tables and can ping my gateway
Thank you in advance...
