Hi everybody!
I have just finished installing my new gentoo system.
When i try to use the command su or su - no matter what my root password is i get the error message : Permission denied. Sorry
I have tried to change my root password, even to 12345 but to no avail
I would appreciate if someone could help,

NCW,
Welcome to Gentoo.
To be permitted to use the su command, your normal user must be a member of the wheel group.
Look at installing sudo. This allows you to become root for a single command without using su.
Code: | emerge sudo
man sudo |
