|
|
Ok, I spent nigh onto 9 hours emerging and compiling KDE. Got 85% of it done, then I got an error while emerging kdeutils:
Got: 1213
Expected: 1215
I resynced, thinking it was trying to emerge a file and was getting a newer version then what it thought it was getting, and that didn't help. I tried to unmerge it, thinking maybe something stuck it in there so that I could re-emerge it. Couldn't unmerge (who woulda thunk it, lol).
I'm out of ideas, and would like to have some feedback
P.S. As a secondary question: I emerge KDE, I can unmerge KDE (the package itself) with no problems since it only seems to be a dependancies list, or is it its own package that I need to keep? _________________ The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner. |

Got the same problem here
Output from emerge (with --fetch-only):
| Code: |
>>> checking ebuild checksums
!!! Digest verification failed:
!!! /usr/portage/kde-base/kdeutils/kdeutils-3.5.3.ebuild
!!! Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
!!! Got: 1213
!!! Expected: 1215
!!! Fetch for /usr/portage/kde-base/kdeutils/kdeutils-3.5.2.ebuild failed, continuing...

Maybe a dev forgot to update the manifest? |

I have sent in a report for the bug along with this forum in the message body and the log. Anyone else who has this problem, posting here will just confirm it. _________________ The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner. |

I got it working by typing
#ebuild /usr/portage/kde-base/kdeutils/kdeutils-3.5.3.ebuild digest |

I got a reply to the bug sent in:
Resync and then emerge it. They fixed it (as I knew they would)
Anyone else with this problem, well, thats what you do to fix it _________________ The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner. |
