iiyama 4314 and KDE

I made an emerge -u word few days ago and now I have some troubles with my screen.

When I start KDE the video signal is briefly stoped and the screen make an auto config. The problem is that this auto config is just before the splash and at this time the background color is black (it was gray before the emerge).

Because of this black color the auto config is not made properly : picture is not in the middle of the screen. I have to manually make an auto config !

Do you have any idea to resolve this problem.
How can I choose the color before the splah.
