|
|
Originally my installation started life as Gentoo 2005.0
I have done emerge world a few times and emerge system quite regularly but now I have some error message when opeing a terminal and changing
to superuser:
anc@orac ~ $ su
Password:
configuration error - unknown item 'FAILLOG_ENAB' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'LASTLOG_ENAB' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'MOTD_FILE' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'FTMP_FILE' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'ENV_ROOTPATH' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'PASS_MIN_LEN' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'CHFN_AUTH' (notify administrator)
orac anc # whoami

Are these serious as everything seems to be working OK, or any advice on how to fix this? Error messages from from gnome terminal, Im running gnome 2.12.3
These messages also appear from any other teminal i.e. Eterm
Thanks in advance |
