I'm having problems with "su root" on my Gentoo box. I'm sure I've got the right password, because I can ssh in as root just fine. Is there a configuration file somewhere that can be used to deny access to root via su?
ian@myhost:~/ $ su
Password:
su: Permission denied
Sorry.
Thanks for any help.
