|
|
After being given the option, by Konqueror, to save form data from the forums.gentoo.org login page, I choose to never save form data.
Now I would like to save my user name and password for forums.gentoo.org login page, but I can't find the option to edit.

Hi.
Have you tried looking at kwalletmanager? I think you might need to look there. _________________ Jorge.

Thank you for your reply jmbsvicetto, although I have looked at Kwallet manager's configuration. Kwallet manager give access to applications, but it does not control how access is used. |

Well, I was fishing for an answer. Although I use KDE, I don't use konqueror. I've lost some time around the konqueror options, as I assume you did, but was unable to find anything remotely related to your problem. If it were firefox, I could tell you in 5 seconds how to solve that. _________________ Jorge.

Edit ~/.kde/share/apps/khtml/formcompletions and delete forums.gentoo.org from this line:
Code: |
[NonPasswordStorableSites]
Sites=forums.gentoo.org
|

Thanx for the responce DtZ I don't know how long it would have taken me to find the right line, to delete, and that configuration file. All I had to do was select the path you gave me and middle click in konqueror to open gvim. I'll just have to wait and see if password compleation works after restarting every instance of konqueror. Although, after deleting the suggested line, I did get a request for my kwallet password when viewing the forums.gentoo.org login. |

So, how can I integrate firefox with kwallet? 4 hours on google and i found nothing. I'm interested thunderbird integration too.
My firefox remember passwords by itself, but not via kwallet.
Could You write something more? |

From my understanding, kwallet is accessed through a kde library, and the only applications that I know that use it are those that are intended to integrate in the kde environment. Such applications are Konqueror and Kopete.
So just use the password manager built-in firefox. Go to:
Code: |
edit --> Preferences --> Security
|
then look to be sure "Remember paswords for sites" is checked. |
