hi,
i can't emerge shadow (unmerged in order to solve the problem) and pam-login (the same)
Code: |
# emerge -p sys-apps/shadow sys-apps/pam-login
[blocks B ] >=sys-apps/shadow-4.0.14-r2 (is blocking sys-apps/pam-login-4.0.14)
[ebuild N ] sys-apps/shadow-4.0.15-r2
[ebuild N ] sys-apps/pam-login-4.0.14
|
how to solve the problem? |

remove pam-login
/bin/login and such are already handled by shadow already anyway
emerge -C pam-login ; emerge -u shadow _________________ We are the keepers of the sacred words: Ni peng and Nee wom! |

Gremo,
I would do it as two commands. Its safe as long as you don't need to reboot before the second command completes, logging in will be a problem then. There is no other way though. _________________ Regards,
