|

Well, I got the flash plugin for Linux and tried to install it. I placed the library and xpt file it in ~/.mozilla/plugins and then - nothing. I tried the installer script but it bails out with:
ERROR: Your architecture, \'x86_64\', is not supported by the
Macromedia Flash Player installer.
Just for thrills I hacked their little install script so it would work anyway. It just installs the library and the xpt file in the same place I did though so nothing was gained there. Anyone have any ideas? Is there an open source player plugin? |

See "My flash / java / some other 32bit plugin doesn`t work" in the AMD64 FAQ. Short answer: install mozilla-firefox-bin (32-bit binary) to run 32-bit plugins. There is no 64-bit flash, Linux or Windows. |
