modular xorg qt font weirdness [solved]

I have emerged the modular xorg onto my myth box, after an initial teething issues I am stuck with one final problem which I cannot seem to solve.
The dialogues displayed in myth seem to have the text missing from them, however not all of the text is missing only some of the text

I am most confused
