Hi All,
This is really strange, I cannot SU into root anymore on my mythtv box, the error is:

Password:
su: Permission denied

I have done nothing on the mythtv box I am trying to change to root on, it just suddenly stoppped working.
I can ssh in from a local machine, or internet machine as a normal user, but I can no longer su into root.
And yes, the password is what I have allways used, and hasn't been changed 
Have I been hacked?
I have an ssh session from many days open on my laptop that is currently logged in as root, is there something
I can do from this session to fix things ... I am reluctant to change the password just in case I get locked out of
my only available root session.
I have seen similar threads of late of similar problems with SU to root.

Thanks, that helped. I had to re-add the "wheel" group to my user. Why it disapeared I do not know. I have not done an update on that box for
months ... I guess it will have to go in the "un-solved" basket ....
