Hello, I ran into trouble after installing a stage 3 :oops:
I've done it with the minimal cd. Everything went fine until after first boot I decide to recompile my system.
The compilation never ends ! It cycle from ebuild 1 to the ebuild of portage then restart from the beginning.
It seems that portage don't know it is already up to date :

Code:

emerge -ep world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies ...done!
[ebuild  N    ] sys-devel/patch-2.5.9
[ebuild  N    ] sys-libs/gpm-1.20.1-r4
[ebuild  N    ] sys-libs/ncurses-5.4-r6
...
[ebuild  N    ] sys-apps/debianutils-2.15
[ebuild  N    ] sys-apps/portage-2.0.54-r1
*** Please update portage to the above version before proceeding.
    Failure to do so may result in failed or improper merges.
    A simple 'emerge -u portage' is sufficient.

[ebuild  N    ] sys-process/vixie-cron-4.1-r8
[ebuild  N    ] sys-fs/reiserfsprogs-3.6.19
...
[ebuild  N    ] sys-libs/pwdb-0.62

So I try to "re" emerge portage ( already done )
Code:

emerge -u portage
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> Auto-cleaning packages ...

>>> No outdated packages were found on your system.

 * GNU info directory index is up-to-date.

Weird ...
Any advice / solution welcome :)
Thx for help

Thx so much TheRAt :D

Here's what I did :
Code:

echo =sys-apps/portage-2.0.54-r2 >> /etc/portage/package.keywords

then :
Code:

emerge -u portage
emerge -e world

And it works :)
