Ok, I had a version of Mandrake linux running, i wanted to get rid of it for gentoo, so i went into konsole and typed lilo -U. This was according to the documentation that had come with mandrake. After that, i logged in as root and deleted the partitions. I was duel booting at the time (linux-windows), so when i restarted i expected to automatically load windows, however it did not, LILO still booted up. It gives me the choice between linux or windows, but when i click linux, nothing happens (it is deleted). Now without linux, is it possible to delete LILO and get back my original MBR??? _________________ I am cool. |

You need to overwrite your master boot record. If you don't use Linux anymore, and want to only boot Windows you need to pop in your windows disk and look for an option that rewrites it (I think it's something like 'repair' or 'restore master boot record')
EDIT: Here you go
