|
|
Hello,
I've just downloaded the .rpm for Oracle 10g xe from the oracle website.
Now i've installad the rpm with the rpm -ivh --nodeps /home/xxx/oracle.rpm
The installation finished successfull, then i've configured oracle xe by running /etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure what also finished sucessfully.
Then I want to start oracle by running the /etc/init.d/oracle-xe start command from the terminal, then the text "Starting Oracle Net listener" come on the screen for a long time, and the system blocks.
Does somebody know how to fix this problem so that I can run oracle from my gentoo system (And not on a F*cking VMWare with Windows Xp on it)?
Greetings..;.

Does the listener start manually? You may want to post the init script you're using. _________________ Adopt an unanswered post

When I run this I got the error command not found

Sorry, I've missed a cd $ORACLE_HOME before listing bin. Anyway, logged in as oracle, try to run
Code: | $ORACLE_HOME/bin/lsnrctl start |
