hi
i get the following errors when starting different programs:
| Code: |
Gdk-WARNING **: Error converting from UTF-8 to STRING: Conversion from character set 'UTF-8' to 'ISO-8859-1' is not supported
GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Couldn't convert text chunk value to UTF-8.
GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_set_option: assertion `key != NULL' failed
|
some of the programs are
gimp - crashes when i load a file
gnomeicu - crashes when starting
gconf-editor - only the warnings, but works
take screenshot in gnome...
has anyone an idea what could be wrong. i ve just updated "gtk+" adn "gdk-pixbuf" to the newest version in portage

*bump* I get the exact same errors, on amd64 and with utf8 in USE. I've followed the unicode guide.
This is particularly irritating because rox-filer doesn't seem to be able to handle thumbnails with utf8 enabled. I'm really starting to wonder if anyone has a working utf8 system. *grumble*
someone in #gentoo suggested I file a bug, so: 131526
