Hello all!
I just installed gentoo...
When i restart, the system hangs (most of the time) at agpgart:

I say most of the time, since it also hung at devfs: boot_option: 0x1
and at a couple of other lines. But in 70% of all cases its agpgart.
I know its hard to give remote support, but maybe there are some known problems. I started from the boot cdrom and recompiled the kernel. I threw anything out that was not necessary.
Is there a possibility to get the configuration list so i could post it here?
My Hardware:
Dual Pentium III(1Ghz)
Asus CUVX4-D Mainboard
512MB Ram
Pixelview (noname) Geforce 2 GTS 64 MB
Advance HPT370 IDE RAID 0/1 Controller
Noname Symbios 53C875E SCSI Controller

The system is installed on a maxtor 20gig drive, the Scsi/raid adapters are not needed and should not be used. Kernel support ist turned off for them
Its a dual boot machine with win2k installed, so i cant remove the hardware.

Thanks for your time!

try to build a new kernel without any agpgart support and use the agpgart support that is build into the NVdriver module for your GF2 card.

I tried :(
I tried to disable scisi, raid, agpgart, even smp. It didnt help.
Maybe something seriously went wrong with the installation. i will either reinstall gentoo or will use some generic linux distro as a system thats easy to get to run and to really learn how it works, i will build "linux from scratch" on another partition.
Thanks for your help!
