I can not get my orinoco card to come up with gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r5 and pcmcia-cs-3.2.4. (Dell Truemobile 1150 w/ 8.10 firmware -- mini-pci)
cardmgr errors out saying it can not bind to socket 2
This same config worked with gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r1 and pcmcia-cs-3.2.1-r2.
Any ideas, tips, or kernel configs would be appreciated so I know I'm not crazy.

The problem is only with systrace enabled! I thought I was going crazy there for a while.
With systrace in kernel, I get the cannot bind error for cardmgr, but systrace only runs when you tell it to.
There is a bug somewhere, either systrace or pcmcia-cs.
I'll keep this thread updated.

Ok, here is what I found:
To use gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r5 with systrace, grsecurity, and an orinoco wireless card, you must use the in-kernel drivers for pcmcia_core, ds, i82365, hermes, and orinoco_cs.
I might have missed some, but you get the idea.
I would assume I could use the specialized pcmcia-cs without drivers, but I had cardmgr from pcmcia-cs.
Any updates would be welcome, but I will be sticking with this kernel for a while.
