Bug 20426 describes a problem where bash 2.05b-r5 no longer accepts command-line arguments to shell scripts.
I'm having the same problem and was wondering if anyone knew a fix/workaround. I can't emerge much of anything because most of the configure scripts fail because they are not picking up their arguments. _________________ ...you live, you learn.

Try a different shell or download a working copy of bash. |

That obviously is not going to help solve the problem.
I've reverted CFLAGS to essentially nothing and done emerge -e bash and it still won't build a functional bash.
The machine sitting next to it, which is identical, works fine.
Most frustrating. _________________ ...you live, you learn.

Rebuilding bison then emerging bash again did the trick, in case someone else runs across the same problem. _________________ ...you live, you learn.
