i updated my portage to the version you get when you accidently left ACCEPT_KEYWORD on, and saw the cool function where it changed the window title to what it is doing.. it said === Compiling/Merging /usr/babka
very cool
then it was finished, and it stood "xterm blabla" but i was running konsole
not an xterm.
(it changes the window title to the wrong thing.) when exiting (from su) it changes back... _________________ NoManNoProblem

not sure this belongs in forums feedback...
but, what other cool features did you notice? try emerging something with dependencies that were automatically installed as well, and then doing emerge -C <package> ... does it remove the dependencies now as well?
thats one of my biggest pet peeves about portage right now, is that i have to write down all the dependencies that are installed because portage wont remove them when i remove the initial package. |

if you emerge p1 p2 p3 and so on, it shows a total in the titlebar like === (1 of 6) among other things ...
i did a test emerging gaim (which also emerged gtkspell) and emerge -pC gaim to see if it whould also unmerge gtkspelll.. it didnt. only showed it whould unmerge gaim.
i do a emerge -p pack >> ~/pack.out when emerging a package a want to try out.. then i just look in ~/pack.put and unmerge
i did see a script here somewhere someone made which tracked the dependencie for some pack and showed or unmerged them.. _________________ NoManNoProblem
