I have an existing gentoo installation on its own hard drive and i am trying to load it up in vmware but i'm getting the following error:

Send the error message to the vmware developers, like the text in the window suggests. This is not a Gentoo/Linux issue.

Well aren't you a cocky little fella. I realize this isn't a vmware forum; I'm not stupid. I trust this forum more than the vmware forum.
