when using foomatic-configure, i need to know $print_device_path. in /dev, there is no lp0 or anything remotely to do with printing. what do i enter here? or how do i get to lp0?

i went back and enabled parallel printer support just now.. on 'find /dev/l*', the only file is /dev/log. is there anything besides parallel printer support that i need enabled? (i did enable parallel port support, pc-style hardware, multi-io cards, and use fifo/dma if available.) |

You're also going to need to enable parallel printer support in the character devices section. It took me a while to find that one too. _________________ -------------

i get the following message:
