|
|
When running the installer it does not recognize the image that i have mounted as /mnt/cdrom I previously did this on mandrake using the same image and command...
Code: | mount -o loop,unhide -t iso9660 -r /home/dasa/downloads/ut-goty1.iso /mnt/cdrom |
previously the installer would recognize the cdrom and use the image..so i dont have to burn them. NOW...the installer just says insert cd1, i click Ok and i get the same error again.
why would this work on mandrake and not gentoo? any idea how i solve this? |

a thought....is there a way to specify a cdrom directory?
maybe Code: | ./ut-install.run --with-cdrom=/mnt/isoimage |
i've looked but been unable to find this. |

Perhaps you should just try burning the ISO? Or use your original copy of th e game.

what do you mean with /dev/cdrom instead of /mnt/cdrom? i'm mounting it to /mnt/cdrom is it even possible to mount something to /dev/cdrom the image i'm trying to mount is already on my hard drive so i didn't bother with /dev//cdrom |

If I'm not mistaken, the installer requires you to mount the cdrom as /cdrom. _________________ fortune: The best defense against logic is ignorance. |
