Just wondering if this actually does anything or if there is some other way to resume a killed and/or failed emerge. Basically, if I need my machine for something and kill an emerge or if it fails, I want to start at the place it left off rather than remerging the entire thing. With something like Mozilla for example, that could really help out, since it takes several hours on my machine. I don't see why there couldn't be an option for this because I know when I used to compile things from source by hand, it would skip over everything that was already done. Portage is all script driven so I know restarting the process makes it execute the entire script (unpacking, ./configure, etc).. any ways to possibly bypass that?
