Hi all,

Is anybody experiencing the following with DicOOo 1.5.5 (and 1.5.3) and openoffice-bin-2.0.1 ?

I try to install the dictionaries for English US, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. The program seems to run fine, but upon restarting openoffice I find myself with dictionaries for English US and UK, Italian and Swahili. DicOOo had never caused me any troubles before... :( :?:

As I understand, You opened /usr/lib/openoffice/share/dict/ooo/DicOOo.sxw as root and run DicOoo...
It was hanged up when i tried upgrade to 1.5.5 , but with 1.5.3 wersion i installed dictioneries for me.
Maybe you need to manually edit /usr/lib/openoffice/share/dict/ooo/dictionary.lst and add lines for your languages.

Regards

No, I opened DicOOo from inside OpenOffice, was prompted to upgrade, clicked yes and proceeded to run DicOOo 1.5.5 as a normal user, like I always have. The program seemed to execute normally, I was able to choose the languages I wanted and then the program terminated normally. But when I restarted OOo, the dictionaries for the languages I had chosen were not there. In their place, there were dictionaries for other languages.

I tried again, with exactly the same results.

I just did it too, but I didn't upgrade to the newer version when it asked me and it worked fine.

I just tried with 1.5.3 and it seemed to get stuck forever at the "retrieving list" phase.
