On my laptop i can boot from the livecd and setup the network without problem, works fine.
but after installing gentoo, i can neither ping other computers in our lan nor computers in the internet.
i have an rtl8139 card, compiled with the kernel as a modul. It exists and is loaded at startup without errors.
ifconfig gives me the information, that the desired ip is set and subnetmask also (as with booting from the CD). "UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST"
but when typing "ping 192.168.0.1" it will cause 100% packetloss while pinging after booting the livecd has 0% packetloss (same config) |

I recognized that the interrupt is different:
booting from installcd: ifconfig: eth0, interrupt 11
booting after install: ifconfig: eth0, interrupt 19
could this be the reason ? and if yes, how would this be fixed ? |

i disabled "ACPI" inside the kernel options
but, now i cannot boot via harddrive (hda: lost interrupt) and anything complains about interrupts ... |
