As topic says...
When I'm in OpenROM and gentoo-sources-2.6.15-r1 starts booting, I see:
Code: |
Remapping the kernel... done.
Registering callbacks... done.
|
Then the system deadlocks. Anyone else who can confirm this? gentoo-sources-2.6.13-r5 (same .config) works fine... _________________ Staying crunchy even in milk! |

You may have an old OBP version, try upgrading to the latest.
Or the kernel config got b0rked around (there were Kconfig updates for sparc lately so it's possible). _________________ Gustavo Zacarias

I'm running OBP 3.31 which is supposedly the newest...
What do you mean with b0rked around...?
I copy over the old .config and always make oldconfig first, this has never failed me on any of my systems before, including the ol' trusty SPARC _________________ Staying crunchy even in milk! |

Yeah only you
Try my config at http://dev.gentoo.org/~gustavoz/sparc/configs (u5 one, it's basically the same machine as an u10, just enable creator if you have thru menuconfig). _________________ Gustavo Zacarias

Neat, 2.6.15-gentoo-r2 doesn't work either... Anyone here running 2.6.15 succesfully? For now I've booted 2.6.13-gentoo-r5 again... *sigh* _________________ Staying crunchy even in milk! |
