Anyone using MSI K7N2G-ILSR

Does anyone have this board? I've had it for almost a week, and at first loading the snd-intel8x0 modules would hardlock my computer, then I disabled my onboard modem, and it wouldn't hardlock anymore. I'm guess it was some kind of IRQ conflict. But I was wondering if anyone has gotten sound to work with this mobo. I'm using kernel 2.5.67 and the alsa that's in the kernel compiled as modules. I tried using kernel 2.5.68, but Eterm complained about psuedo-tty not being there. The problem with alsa as far as I could tell, was that it would try to write to the buffer then hang.

So if anyone using this mobo has gotten sound to work, could you please provide me the steps you took and what your using? eg. kernel version....
