Hi All
I just downloaded the install-sparc64-universal-2005.1-r1.iso and created a bootable cd.
This is what I see when I boot: Code: | boot: gentoo-2.4
Loading initial ramdisk....
bootmem_init: Scan sp_banks, init_bootmem(min[5000000], bootmap[50001d6], max[5)free_bootmem(sp_banks:0): base[a000000000] size[feffe000]
free_bootmem(sp_banks:1): base[a0ff000000] size[b94000]
reserve_bootmem(initrd): base[a0ffa92000] size[ecdca]
reserve_bootmem(initrd): base[a0ffa92000] size[a0ffb7edca]
reserve_bootmem(kernel): base[a000000000] size[3aae50]
reserve_bootmem(bootmap): base[a0003ac000] size[ffc0]
Remapping the kernel... done. |
Thats all I see. After this nothing seems to happen anymore.
I also turned off video, no success.
Any suggestions why I cannot boot properly ?
Thanks in advance

Try to install Silo 1.3.1-r1
I had the same problem (compiled my kernel multiple times), but nothing worked.
After a downgrade from Silo-1.4.9 to version 1.3.1, it worked flawlessly. |
