I used to be part of the mIRC and OpenOffice.org forum communities but these days, I just get my forum-based thrills here.

I used to but no longer have the time beyond occasionally checking Gentoo. Sometimes I post things on [H]ardOCP but that's rarer now. I only look on there if I'm actively upgrading which I'm now finished with.

I'm pretty sure this has been asked before, but as I cannot seem to find that thread this will suffice.

I frequent http://fightforum.com and moderate there.. devoted to UFC, PRIDE Fighting Championships, K-1 kickboxing, as well as Boxing, other Mixed Martial Arts promotions, and general wellness.

Also enjoy http://atariage.com to get my retro fix.

awesome. i used to go on adcombat's forum and theunderground (way back when). but all the endless sh!t talk turned me away from them. im having trouble making the time after work to train let alone listen to "gracies suck" or "rickson's a chicken" talk.

The Internet Infidels Discussion Board. There are tons of amazingly informative threads by scientists. The Evolution forum is great to learn about the theory.

Well not any more, but I used to troll brainwashed Muslims at:

www.apostatesofislam.com/forum/
(seems to be down at the moment)

until it got overrun by American right wingers and Bible thumpers.

I bet you'll know the answer to this. I heard there was a sequel, but it was Japanese only. Is that true?

I used to hang out in a lot of forums but recently I've found that it's hard to have a good technical debate since there are so many utterly ignorant people about, so it mostly it turns out to be pointless banter.

I tend to like mailing lists better these days, there's no requirement to be polite to morons, if someone strays to the wrong list he clearly did something wrong and telling him to read the fine manual or using google is considered suitable replies. Also no fucking moron playing bot serving me news I am perfectly able to find on my own pestering my experience by drowning relevant information and debating a flood of shit.

FGO is the forum I visit the most, but I've trolled/been active on the following forums for a while...
rx7club.com - guess what car I drive.
Electronics forum - cool stuff. goto the personal projects section and check out the homemade gauss pistol.
Game programming forum - they have good articles, but most people there are directx nerds.
Overclockers forum - just to see whats going on in the computing world. Oh, and check out their Deals section, good stuff if you are shopping.

Sequel and a predecessor. Mother was released in Japan, and Mother 2 was released in Japan and then in the U.S./Canada as "Earthbound". Mother 3 was released in the spring in Japan only. If you remember, there was an "Earthbound 2" scheduled for release on the N64. I haven't read into the storyline for the new GBA game (Mother 3) due to hoping for a translation/localization by Nintendo of America--however, I've heard this new game is the N64 title, just on the GBA (and not 3d).

Big news about it on that website, you can read all the stuff if you're interested. They've done petitions, etc.

FYI, Mother 1 was fully translated to English and ready for release before the SNES came out, which kind of snuffed the whole project. However, the cart was leaked out of Nintendo later... and you can connect the dots I'm sure. It is referred to as "Earthbound 0" by many fans.
