I noticed an error similar to the one below for CrackLib, so I re-installed PAM in hopes of clearing it up - Now I get the following :
Code: | Jan 3 16:49:10 kryton sshd[7201]: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_unix.so)
Jan 3 16:49:10 kryton sshd[7201]: PAM [dlerror: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by /lib/security/pam_unix.so)]
|
As you can imagine, this is preventing me from logging on
I have two ssh windows open - my only links into the box now unless I go to the rescue disk..
I am not using ~x86, I am on a 1.4 system, GCC is at 3.2.1 and Glibc is at 2.3.1-r2.
I am currently re-building Glibc and Pam in hope of fixing it, but if anyone has any other thoughts, it would be appreciated |

I know that this problem is solved and over, but I just wanted to point out that I was experiencing the exact same problem and I didn't need to reboot in order to fix it. I just had to restart my sshd and all seemed to work after that. Just in case someone finds this as they are experiencing the same situation as I was... |
