emege -p -u world wants to update gnome 2 to gnome 1.4

Is there a reason for this? Or a way to get around it. I tired USE:-gnome in my make.conf and that didn't do anything.

If you've done emerge rsync, you should unmask gnome2 again from packages.mask (packages.mask gets overwritten).

Ahhh ok thank you for your reply, I guess I should of checked that, but I figured that would stay solid.
