Hola,
Trato de instalar jedit en Gentoo 1,4 pero tras emerger las dependencias y el paquete en si, me tira el error que pego a continuación:
Gentoo 1,4

Según esto no tienes jdk, bajate el sun-jdk, el 1.4 o posterior... Y si ya lo tienes configuralo con el java-config. (Con el blackdown tb tendría que funcionar, 1.4 o posterior)
