I have installed kat from http://kat.mandriva.com, using the ebuild supplied. It seems to run fine and I am able to find files. If however I modify a file in my home directory and search for a new word that I put in it, the file does not show up in the search for that word - I need to wait for kat to re-index the whole home directory. I am using gentoo-sources-2.6.14-r2 with inotify enabled and all the tests on the kat wizard report that things are working OK. I thought that inotify enable to changes to files to be immediately found by searches.
I can't find any evidence of katdaemon running, but I can see the kat icon in my system tray.
Am I doing something wrong?? |
