hi there!
i really really need a new wireless card for my desktop computer.... So i think the best for me is a PCI one....
Right now I have an ASUS 11mbps, and i've got really really bad problems with it... the most stable configuration i've got is using ndiswrapper, but it's really bad (the rt2400 drivers doesn't support SMP (Pentium 4 HT) i think...)
so i want a card that has really really good linux drivers, in the kernel or as a external module, and it should be rock stable...
in my laptop i have an ipw2200 (and i had an ipw2100 too) and it's like a dream, just making emerge ipw2x00 and everything works ok (now with the 2.6.14 kernel, the drivers are included!!), so i want something that is really this simple, but for a PCI card
please, do you have any recomendations for this? If it's something I can buy in ebay too, it would be GREAT GREAT GREAT!
tell me your experiences with PCI 54mbps wireless cards please and thank you |

I never thought I'd recommend this, but since the driver is becoming pretty good, I'd suggest getting a ACX111 based card.
the D-Link DWL-G520+ is an example of such a card. Just emerge acx100 should work... |
