could somebody tell how that works? I spent half the day trying but achieved nothing. Do I habe to compile the Kernel DRI Driver for a Radeon. I did. Then I tried to to emerge ati-drivers-2.9.6 and added that to my XF86CONFIG
Modules:
Load "dri"
Load "glx"
Device:
Identifier "Card0"
Driver "fglrx"
Option "no_accel" "no"
Option "DesktopSetup" "0x00000000"
Option "MonitorLayout" "AUTO, AUTO"
Option "IgnoreEDID" "off"
Option "HSync2" "unspecified"
Option "VRefresh2" "unspecified"
Option "ScreenOverlap" "0"
Option "GammaCorrectionI" "0x00000000"
Option "GammaCorrectionII" "0x00000000"
# === OpenGL specific profiles/settings ===
Option "Capabilities" "0x00000000"
Option "no_dri" "no"
Option "VideoOverlay" "on"
Option "OpenGLOverlay" "off"
Option "UseFastTLS" "0"
Option "BlockSignalsOnLock" "on"
and
Mode 0666 in the dri Section
BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
But it says:
node name is /dev/dri/card0
open result is 6 (OK)
node name is /dev/dri/card1
open result is -1
so on til card13
"drmOpen failed"
Whats that? Is one card not enough??
please help, I wanted to go to a LAN tomorrow and as it seems now I have to install Windos
It would be a good idea if some of the gentoo-programmers would write a howto on 3D Acceleration on gentoo.
bye Agent
PS.: what wounderful time it has been with my TNT2 with real good AND EASY TO INSTALL N |
