|
Posted earlier today in "Installation"
Upon booting my Thinkpad
...for the first time,
...after installing Gentoo,
...from GRUB
I receive:
Booting 'gentoo'
root (hd0,0)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, Partition type 0x83
Kernel (hd0,0)/boot/bzImage root=/dev/hda3
[Linux=bzImage, setup=0xa00, size=0x16a990]
And then.....
Nothing.
It is possible I didn't "emerge sys-apps/reiserfsprogs". (root partition, /dev/hda3, is reiserfs) I don't remember. Could that be causing the problem?
I recompiled the kernel: same thing.
If you could point me toward the next step in resolving this problem I'd be grateful. |
