Salve!
Pessoal, estou tendo alguns problemas para ativar minha nvidia com glx no xorg. Segui os passos listados pelo Guia de instalção porém quando inicio o gdm fica tudo preto, porém passando o cursor do mouse pela tela consigo perceber que o campo de usuário/senha estão ali.
Mas fica tudo preto.
Alguém já teve este problema?
Algumas informações:
Nvidia Gf MX4000 128Mb
Gentoo Sources 2.6.12-r10 compilando usando Genkernel
Alguém faz idéia do que pode ser?

primeiro, desabilite o driver da nvidia no xorg em
Driver "nvidia" para
Driver "nv" e veja se a tela continua preta...
se continuar tente este comando:
xgamma -gama 1.0
só que este comando aí tem q ser digitado no X
qualquer coisa estamos aí :>

Com o nv ele funciona perfeito... Com o nvidia fica preto, e fica bem no topo superior esquerdo uma pequena linha...

Só se eu for adivinho pra acertar o termal e digitar isso ae...
Mas de qualquer forma a gamma está correta.

Eu ainda acho que é algum problema com a instalção do glx.

qual a versao dos drivers que usas ?
coloca aqui o teu emerge info e faz um paste do /etc/X11/xorg.conf _________________ ex: Gentoo Linux Developer: amd64 media-optical sound gnome
ex: Portuguese Moderator

Drivers bugados indeed. Toda a série MX (lê-se: todas que testei) não funciona com o 6929.
