So I recently found out about prozilla and I added it to my make.config, but sometimes prozilla kills my internet, mostley arround my high speeds(900kb/s-1mb/s). I have to unplug then replug my network cable then do another dhcpcd eth0 to get it working again. there is probley a better way to reset the connection but so far only reseting it by hand has worked. Is anyone else having this problem? is it possible that my network cable can't handle it? it is cat5e(gigabit) belkin so its not quite an odd brand. or probley more possibley my network card is being odd (bcm4400 compiled in the kernel)? anyhelp would be great.

it is strange that a simple user space download program does that. Does the same happens with other tools? wget, or nt e.g.?

Maybe your kernel eth. drivers have some problem. It might be weird to say this but can you change your UTP cable? It might be a simple cable problem. I have encountered this kind of stupid thing.

it didn't happen with wget. I can't change any cabling really I'm in a dorm and i just have cat5e from the wall to my computer, I could try one of other cables although I don't trust them as much because I made them myself a few years ago :) . I could be that the university did something recently to kill any user who downloading above a certain speed, although I've had much higher speed with multidownloads (1.5mb/s) and nothing happened. gee I just remebered how bad dial up is not looking forward to it this summer heh.
