On my Compaq presario 1200 Xl103 With a trident cyberblade vid card and 4 mb shared memmory. I have some strange looking downside of my lcd screen.
For the settings in Xfree i took
800*600 default (normal i used that in winblows)
4mb shared mem (set in bios)
trident cyberblade generic driver

srry for bad qual but my webcam sux
an other questionb i still have no answer. When i use framebuffer support (compiled in kernel) my screen starts way to bright any body knows a good solution except dump it out the kernel (i already did) |

guess nobpody can fix it.
Tried:
compaq support : compaq doesnt support linux on his machines (who cares give me a solution)
other same laptop users : no answer
Trident tech support: still no answwer
Xfree mailing list: mailbox full with mail but still no answer
Tweakers forum: give me more info, i did and futher no answers
my last out cry

fixed:
my bios has reset the mem usage when i installed 128mb extra. 2mb was too less. put it upo to 8mb and the bar was gone! _________________ My weBlog
