Hi,

I have been running fluxbox and esd automatically everytime I start x using the 'startx' script. This has been working well since I can listen to RealPlayer while hearing my Gaim (aim client) sounds at the same time. I've read online that ESD isn't a good solution and also I've experienced sound delays of a 1/2 second or more when watching videos. What solution is everyone else using for sound? I am running the default Alsa drivers.

Brian

I have trouble with esd too. I get this high pitch hisk sound when I try to listen to stuff. It's sorta hard to describe but it sounds like a record all scratched to hell. 8)
