It would be greatly appreciated if someone made a BF2 package. Portage > Browsing the internet for patches :)

ill have a shot, where can i d/l the package for the BF2 server-linux?

have they released a 64bit version of the server or are EA sticking to 32bit ONLY

EA is sticking to 32-bit only ):

Here is the link to the unranked server files (installer) for version v1.02 (ignore the numbering on the file)

No. EA support 64bit. It is selected when you are setting it up, on 32bit systems it uses 32bit libraries and binarys and on 64bit it uses the 64bit stuff.

So yes, It does support 64bit.

Wooohooo. An Ebuild would be too good to be true. I recently switched from Debian to Gentoo and loooove it. Any news on the ebuild? I have a bf2 dedicated running now in a users homedir but it's lacking a decent start/stop script and i have no real bash skills :-/
