is it safe to upgrade lib-aal and reiser4progs to 1.0.5 on a kernel with 1.0.4 modules?
I dont have time to upgrade and debug my kernel right now so I want to know if I should mask 1.0.5 on install it.
Anyone hit any probs doing this?
TIA, Gentree. _________________ Linux, because I'd rather own a free OS than steal one that's not worth paying for.

well it makes a diff only if u do a fs upgrade with the new tools.....and in case u don't no point in upgrading
all the same i have upgraded to 1.0.5 with 1.0.4 kernel but haven't upgraded the fs with the instructions of fsck (something something) on gentoo-wiki and i don't have probs. _________________ Pdict - dockable dictionary client for linux

Thanks for the info.
So it's presumably safe to let the upgrade go through and not touch the fs until I have moved to a kernel with suitable 1.0.5 support.
By that time if there are any nasty surprises we should be seeing some good R4 flamethrowers _________________ Linux, because I'd rather own a free OS than steal one that's not worth paying for.
