|
|
I have searched google (got mandrake specific guides), this site and also read the font-howto (not thoroughly, i am half asleep here ), yet I can't find out how to import Windows fonts.
FYI I have Windows on a sepearate partition.
Can anybody tell me how to import Windows fonts?
Thanks in advance. _________________ Postcount ++ |

That's not really what I was looking for.
I want to take the fonts that reside in C:\windows\fonts. Then I think you have to convert them to types that X will understand, and then put them in the appropriate directories. How do I do this? _________________ Postcount ++ |

You don't have to convert them, because they are TrueType fonts, which XFree 4.x understands, as well as apps using the freetype2 engine.
So https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=4825 is applicable, because it tells you how to configure TrueType fonts. |
