Hi,
I have a dsl with an email acount : dsl_user123@dsl.isp.com. I use fetchmail to pop it and depose to my gateway, to user joe. With dyndns, I can send mail to joe@mydom.dyndns.org.
How do I send mail out with the return address as dsl_user123@dsl.isp.com?
Thanks |

Which mail client do you use? I use mutt and it has an option to set the default email sender address. |

Yup, mutt's good for this, but any client should allow you to set this address. |

|
|
Hi,
Thanks for the clues. I am embarrassed to see how simple the solution was. I used pine and that wasn't easy to set. After reading cryptic--to me--doc, I am finally able to set it via SETUP ->Config->customized-hdrs with:Reply-To:$REPLYTO, and REPLYTO is an env vars with dsl_user@dsl.isp.com.
Mozilla mail is much simpler;)
Anyway, without these clues I would continues to comb postfix, pine, aliases config files... |
