this doesnt bother me too much but i cant tell if im doing something wrong or if its a bug. i have a kde quickbrowser button for my samba partition, cdrom, and "home" dir.
i keep links to all these places in a directory and move that directory into the kicker to access them and their children with a click. however, for some reason it will allow me to change the icon for the home dir. Its not a big deal but id like to make the quickbrowser entry for my cdrom to look like a cd. when i try to change the icon it tells me:
"Could not save properties. You do not have sufficient access to write to /home/brian/Drives/cdrom/.directory."
problem is that file doesnt exist and changing the user and group of ~/drives/.directory does nothing.
i've tried chmod, chusr, and chgrp on the link itself with no luck. and of course i tried this all form the bash and gui as root. can anyone try to replicate this? like i said its not a big problem at all, but im willing to do my part for the opensource community and fill out a bug report if it is indeed a glitch |
