hello.
I submited a ebuild some days ago, I received 2 mails , one to tell me the bug was in bugzilla, and the other it was assigned to some one ( with his email).
so what's coming next ? should I wait ? can I do something ? _________________ every step aim at glory. |

If you want to see your ebuilds being commited soon after you submit a new ebuild, then don't wait. Write new ebuild (make sure it's bugless and it's interesting for gentoo developers) and submit it. And so on and so on. Once your persistent effort will annoy someone they will give you permissions to commit in the tree. Then you'll commit your ebuild by yourself, means immidiately after you sure the ebuild is ready.
The procedure is defined in HOWTO become a Gentoo developer
Otherwise you have to wait until some permitted developer will have time and motivation to do QA with following by the commit. It can take months if your ebuild is not interesting for any gentoo developrs. |
