Hello,

I apologize if this has been answered previously --- I just got a powerbook g4 and would like to install Gentoo onto an external firewire drive without repartitioning the internal IDE drive. It is not clear to me that yaboot will allow you to boot a partition on a firewire drive, is this possible? If not I will have to repartition and reinstall OS X which I would rather not do.

Thanks

This topic should be helpful: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-319825.html

And instructions are included in the 2005.1 release handbook. (When it's available!)

Can anyone tell me when the 2005.1 handbook revision will be available?
