It doesn't actually do anything though, other than make that a valid command-line option. Perhaps you could make it imply things like "-O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -ffast-math -funroll-all-loops -march=i386" or something. _________________ ~~ Peter: Programmer, Mathematician, STEM & Free Software Advocate, Enlightened Agent, Transhumanist, Fedora contributor

I dont use O3 or funroll-all-loops the
I was just wondering if omg-optimize was anything worth while _________________ Sincerely,

Have it imply every flag, even the redundant, broken-by-design, useless, unsupported, and incompatible ones _________________ Knowledge is power.

That's the point! You have it imply things like -O3 AND everything -O3 implies! Brilliance! _________________ Knowledge is power.

Personally, I say we need a patch which makes -O3 become -O2. _________________ System: predatorbox

EDIT: Y'know, I might use make a set of ricerflags using a "fake" flag. So, -omg-slow would be -O2, and some flags, -omg-optimized would be the flags in my sig, and -extra-rice would be O3, plus thousands of breaking and/or redundant flags Haha |

On related note, where did funroll-loops.org go?
Now people start bringing this stuff here. I see a new forum saying 'post all your ricer jokes here'. |

Has anyone else noticed that the above remains this users only post, and lookng around on his site, he is obviously a *bsd user who is critical of linux in general?
I think he's laughing at us rather than with us. _________________ "You have to invite me in" |

Does it matter? The patch *is* funny.
If he wants to use a technically inferior operating system for l33tness (geek penis enlargement) reasons, that's not our problem. |
